Two Prominent African American Attorneys, Wayne Lee and Kim Boyle, Among City Business Honorees
Wayne Lee and Kim Boyle honored by City Business as being among the top 50 New Orleans attorneys
City Business recently announced the 50 honorees for its second annual “Leadership in Law” awards ceremony and luncheon held April 28, 2006. Two very prominent African American attorneys who have made significant contributions of time and effort to Martinet were among the honorees: Wayne Lee and Kim Boyle. The attorney honorees were selected based upon success in their practices, contributions to the community and impact on the legal community.
Dana M. Douglas
Dana M. Douglas, an associate in the New Orleans office of Liskow & Lewis, PLC has been named to the Council of the Louisiana Law Institute. She was appointed as a designee of the president of the state chapter of the Louis A. Martinet Society.
Kelly McNeil Legier, ex officio past president of Martinet, recently began practicing as a staff attorney for the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before practicing with the court, she practiced in the area of employment law and commercial litigation with Proskauer Rose, LLP (a New York based firm) and Shook, Hardy & Bacon, LLP (a Kansas City-based firm). She also clerked for Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle (U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of La.) and Judge Carl E. Stewart (U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals).

Chauntis T. Jenkins
Martinet Member Chauntis T. Jenkins of Porteous Hainkel & Johnson has been very busy. In the year 2005-2006, she was appointed to the Council of Louisiana State Law Institute as an Observer for LSBA Young Lawyers Section and to the Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association Board of Directors. In the American Bar Association (ABA), she has been appointed as the Diversity Director of ABA Young Lawyers Division and will serve as one of the Vice-Chairs of the Automobile Law Committee of the Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the ABA.
